District Council #2 Organizing Mission
To convert from a servicing representation, to a combined effort of members, Organizers and Business Representatives to organize the un-organized and regain our market share.
As of January 1, 2006, District council #2 had a total membership of 3800.
The Organizers and Business Representatives of District Council #2 have begun house calling our members with the intention of recruiting committed individuals to assist in our mission; V.O.C.'s (Voluntary Organizing Committee).
V.O.C.'s may participate in the following activities:
- Assist with house-calling members
- Attend planning & zoning meetings to give the IUPAT a voice (see schedule)
- Massive picketing
- Handbilling
- Assist the C.O.M.E.T. (Construction Organizing Membership Education Training)
